
The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and coordinating construction, installation, and maintenance activities on-site, ensuring that work is executed safely, on schedule, and according to approved designs and project specifications. This role involves technical oversight, quality control, and collaboration with contractors, subcontractors, and project management teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise on-site construction, installation, or maintenance activities specific to your discipline (Piping, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical).
Review drawings, technical documents, and project specifications to ensure accurate execution.
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow.
Monitor work progress, adherence to schedules, and compliance with quality standards.
Conduct site inspections to ensure workmanship, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Identify and resolve technical issues, providing solutions to prevent delays.
Prepare daily/weekly reports on progress, incidents, and site activities.
Ensure all activities comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
Assist in the testing and commissioning of systems (as applicable).
Support procurement and logistics by coordinating materials and resources on-site.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Engineering relevant to your discipline (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Piping).
Minimum 25 years of experience in construction, installation, or project execution in your discipline.
Knowledge of engineering standards, codes, and local regulations.
Familiarity with project documentation, drawings, and design software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Skills & Competencies:
Ability to manage multiple tasks and teams effectively.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
Hands-on experience with site tools, equipment, and construction techniques.
Understanding of safety procedures and quality standards.
