Overview

Vision Built, a Sisk Company, is a leading offsite construction company delivering high-quality modular and panelised building solutions. Our team combines innovation with practical construction expertise to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.We are now recruiting a Site Engineer to join our team on an exciting project based in Collooney, Co. Sligo where you will be utilising MMC, modern methods of construction, in a fully onsite role.

Responsibilities

• Completion of site surveys/level checks
• Due diligence checks on SI, TOPO, CCTV surveys, etc.
• Check availability of control points and set local grid and level datum for project.
• Issue RFI to Client for additional information required.

Reviews Client Deliverables

• Issue full list of RFIs.
• Assists Client Civil Designers in completion of design – additional site surveys etc.
• Assess proposed design for potential clashes with existing services.
• Check outlet levels and verify against design.
• Assess existing levels and tie in points and cross-check against proposed FFL.

Excavation Coordinator

• Complete CAT scan survey.
• Mark out and identify all existing services.
• Complete excavation permits with contractor.
• Identify where trial holes are required to verify location and depth of services.
• Identifies areas where vacuum excavation or hand-digging is required.

Setting out and Surveys

• Complete as-built surveys - Foundations and plinths in preparation for Modular Installation. - Drainage and underground utilities - Footpaths, fences, completed hard and soft landscaping, etc. - Module plinth line and level - Façade as-built survey prior to application of the rainscreen
• Setting Out - Establish control points and datums. - Set out foundations and drainage. - Check all contractor completed setting out and/or levelling.

Quality

• Ensure Technical Submittals are completed, processed, and approved for all groundworks, concrete works, etc.
• Maintenance of Setting Out Equipment Register and ensure certifications and inspections are completed.
• Ensure concrete cube sampling is completed, concrete dockets records are stored, and concrete cube register is maintained.
• Completion and approval of all Project ITP for groundworks and foundation scope of works.
• Completion and approval of ITRs with contractor for all completed works.
• Witness of air tests for underground drainage
• Ensuring CCTV is completed at appropriate time, in advance of handover.
• Provide Site Management Support for NCR, Snag and BCAR Snag closure. Review list, inspect remedial works, upload evidence and mark as completed on the Dalux and/or other agreed applications.

Experience

• Previous experience in a similar, site-based role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or construction-related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and surveying instruments.
• Strong leadership, communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Full, clean driver’s license.
