Job Description

Our client, a Civils Contractor delivering works under the Irish Water framework, is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their team based in Kilkenny. The successful candidate will bring strong setting out experience and a solid grounding in civil engineering site works.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out and levelling for all elements of the works, ensuring accuracy against design drawings.
• Monitor and record quality control checks throughout construction.
• Liaise with the design team, subcontractors and site management to resolve technical queries.
• Support the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of the site.
• Ensure all works are carried out in line with the project programme and specification.
• Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including as-built drawings and survey data.
• Assist with materials and resource planning to keep works on programme.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards at all times.
• Support the preparation of RAMS and method statements for site activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Site Engineer in civil engineering or utilities.
• Proven setting out experience.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
