Job Description

Our client, a local construction contractor, is seeking a Site Engineer to join their team on a large-scale residential project based in Wexford This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on a high-profile development with long-term projects to follow in the area. The successful candidate will have previous construction experience and strong technical skills to ensure quality and compliance on-site.

Responsibilities:

1. Set out and oversee site works in accordance with project specifications.
2. Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design and safety standards.
3. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain schedules.
4. Review and interpret technical drawings and provide guidance to site teams.
5. Maintain accurate records of site activities and prepare progress reports.
6. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
7. Assist in resolving technical issues and implementing corrective actions.
8. Liaise with project managers and stakeholders to ensure smooth communication.
9. Support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
2. Previous experience as a Site Engineer on residential or similar projects.
3. Strong understanding of construction processes and site management.
4. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
6. Full, clean driving license.
