About the Project
ACCIONA is a global leader in the development and delivery of sustainable infrastructure. This project involves the delivery of major civil works, including complex retaining wall structures, supporting critical infrastructure outcomes and long-term community benefits.

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer – Civil to join our project team. Reporting to the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of civil construction works, with a key focus initially on retaining wall structures. This role will see you take ownership of site-based engineering activities and contribute to achieving project objectives across safety, quality, cost, and programme.

Key accountabilities

• Oversee and coordinate site activities to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project timelines
• Manage the planning and execution of construction works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and methodologies
• Take ownership of the delivery of retaining wall structures, ensuring quality, constructability, and compliance with design requirements
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to achieve programme and productivity targets
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and environmental standards across all site activities
• Contribute to project controls, including progress tracking, cost management, and programme reporting
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including QA records, inspections, and as-built data

Required Skills and Competencies

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Experience working as a Site Engineer on civil infrastructure projects
• Strong experience delivering retaining wall structures
• Sound understanding of construction methodologies and site controls
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• White Card (essential)
• Strong communication skills with a proactive, team-focused approach

Due to Defence security requirements, applicants must be Australian Citizens and eligible to obtain Baseline Security Clearance.
