Job Description

A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking a Site Engineer for a long-term educational bundle project based in Newbridge, Co. Kildare. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to join a high-performing site team on a large-scale development. The successful candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to site delivery.

Responsibilities

• Set out and survey site works in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project programme
• Ensure all works are carried out to the highest standards of quality and in line with design requirements
• Work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to coordinate daily site activities
• Monitor and report on project progress, identifying any issues or delays
• Maintain accurate site records, including as-built drawings, surveys, and daily reports
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and support the implementation of site safety procedures
• Liaise with subcontractors to ensure works are completed to specification and programme
• Assist with quality control through inspections, snagging, and close-out of works
• Support the management of materials, plant, and logistics on site

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a Site Engineer role within construction
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects, ideally in education or commercial sectors
• Strong setting out and surveying skills with proficiency in relevant equipment
• Good knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and QA processes
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
