Job Description

Our client, a Tier 1 main contractor, is currently seeking a Site Engineer for a long-term project based in the Dublin area. The successful candidate will be involved in the delivery of a range of high-profile Commercial, Residential, and Mixed-Use Development projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction firm with a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for excellence.

To be successful in this role, the preferred candidate will have experience working on large-scale construction projects, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Setting out and surveying on-site in accordance with project plans.
2. Assisting in the coordination of subcontractors and site activities.
3. Ensuring works are carried out in compliance with health & safety standards.
4. Monitoring and reporting on progress against project timelines.
5. Maintaining accurate site records and documentation.
6. Supporting the Project Manager and Site Manager with daily operations.
7. Liaising with design teams and consultants to resolve technical issues.
8. Conducting quality checks and ensuring compliance with specifications.
9. Attending site meetings and contributing to project planning.

Requirements:

1. Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
2. 2+ years’ experience in a Site Engineer role within the construction industry.
3. Strong knowledge of setting out, surveying, and construction methodologies.
4. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software.
5. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
