Job Description

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is looking for a positive role model to help plan programming, assist with center oversight, and supervise children in our after-school child care program at Cloverhill Elementary School. The hours for this position are 2:00pm-6pm.

What You'll Do

As the Youth Development Center Director, you'll play a vital role in shaping high-quality programming and building strong relationships with children, families, staff, and school partners. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and led on-site staff
• Creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for school-age children
• Building strong relationships with children and families and serving as a key point of communication
• Ensuring compliance with Virginia DOE licensing requirements and YMCA quality standards
• Managing site safety, equipment, and facilities
• Attending required child care trainings

What You Bring

We're looking for a confident, compassionate leader who is ready to make a difference. Ideal candidates will have:

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Experience leading groups of youth
• A positive, enthusiastic leadership style
• Virginia DOE licensing qualifications (college-level coursework in a related field or CDA required)
• Must be at least 21 years old

The hourly pay range is $17 - $19 per hour.
