Opportunity:

The Site Controller – Elkhart serves as the senior finance partner supporting Kem Krest’s Elkhart operations. This role provides financial insight, governance, and business support to enable safe, profitable, and efficient execution across site activities.

The Site Controller works closely with Operations, Commercial, and Corporate Finance teams to translate financial results into actionable insight, support decision‑making, and drive continuous improvement. This position balances hands‑on financial execution with strategic partnership and is a key contributor to site leadership discussions.

Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Serve as the primary finance partner to Elkhart site leadership, supporting operational and commercial decision‑making.
  • Provide clear financial insight and recommendations to support customer profitability, operational efficiency, and margin improvement.
  • Support growth initiatives, customer onboarding, and value‑added service offerings through financial analysis and modeling.
  • Participate in site leadership discussions, business reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Financial Reporting, Forecasting & Planning

  • Lead monthly close activities for the site, ensuring accurate and timely financial results.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis and performance commentary.
  • Support site forecasting, annual budgeting, and long‑range planning processes in alignment with Kem Krest financial objectives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and support data‑driven decision‑making.

Controls, Compliance & Governance

  • Maintain strong internal controls and adherence to Kem Krest finance policies and procedures.
  • Serve as the site finance lead for internal and external audits.
  • Ensure proper documentation, review, and approval of financial transactions.
  • Support risk management and compliance initiatives in partnership with Corporate Finance.

Cash Flow, Working Capital & Inventory Oversight

  • Partner with operations and corporate teams to manage inventory levels, inventory accuracy, and working capital performance.
  • Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and related reconciliations.
  • Monitor invoicing, billing accuracy, and customer‑specific financial requirements.

Systems & Continuous Improvement

    • Leverage Kem Krest financial systems and reporting tools (including Dynamics 365) to improve financial visibility and efficiency.
    • Support process improvements, automation, and standardization initiatives.
    • Partner with Corporate Finance on system enhancements, reporting improvements, and data integrity efforts.

Your Contributions:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including site‑based or operational support.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, forecasting, internal controls, and inventory oversight.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with operations and non‑finance stakeholders.
  • ERP experience required; Dynamics 365 preferred.
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.
