Pickering Casino Resort is seeking a Site Audit Supervisor!

Under the general supervision of the Regional Audit Manager, the Site Audit Supervisor is responsible for supervising the work of the Audit team, reviewing and balancing gaming revenues and volumes while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. The role ensures adherence to all policies and procedures and positively contributes to an entrepreneurial culture that is nimble, energized and growth oriented, motivates and leads by example and provides a learning environment.

The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills and abilities, executing the following in support of the company’s vision, mission and values:

  • Audits and balances gaming revenues (including Slots and Table Games), main bank paperwork, lottery, Food & Beverage, progressive machines and vouchers
  • Responds to, resolves or escalates Audit issues
  • Review, enter and balance daily gaming and non-gaming revenues
  • Assist with payroll & scheduling reconciliation
  • Distribute revenue reports to management and regulatory bodies
  • Reviews transactions for Cage & Coin, Table Games, Food & Beverage, Lottery and Fintrac
  • Complies with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Complies with requirements listed in MOP and paperwork stored and destructed as per EDRM
  • Ensures strict adherence to internal controls (MOP), regulatory standards (Fintrac) and legal requirements.
  • Assists in the implementation of the departmental strategic plans
  • Provides leadership, direction and mentoring to the Audit team, including performance reviews, while providing continuous coaching for success to achieve high performance
  • Stewards workplace health, safety and wellness with a focus on education & training, workplace inspections and accident prevention not reaction;
  • Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership, regulatory bodies and team members
  • Anticipates operational and service issues before they escalate, troubleshoots and resolves guest concerns
  • Complete performance reviews
  • Oversee sick calls and attendance
  • Hold people accountable, determine/issue discipline
  • Approve vacation and wellness requests
  • Training, coaching and development of site auditors
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Successful applicants will demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • College Diploma or equivalent with a focus in Accounting or Economics or a related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in administration; minimum 1 year in casino operations an asset. Previous supervisory experience is an asset
  • Fluency in all Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize work in an efficient and organized manner
  • Strong analytical, evaluative and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated high level of judgment, tact, diplomacy and confidentiality in interacting with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
