Job Description

Our client, a Civils Contractor delivering works under the Irish Water framework, is seeking an experienced Site Agent to join their team based in Waterford. This role will oversee day-to-day site operations on an active water infrastructure project. The successful candidate will bring strong civil engineering experience and a proven track record managing site teams, subcontractors and programme delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers and site operatives.
• Oversee setting out, quality control and technical compliance across all site activities.
• Prepare, review and sign off RAMS and method statements with the site team.
• Manage the works programme, identifying and resolving delays or resourcing issues.
• Liaise with the client, design team and project stakeholders as the main point of contact on site.
• Monitor and report on progress, outputs and costs to project management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards at all times.
• Support the site team with materials, plant and labour planning.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years experience as a Site Agent or in a similar site management role.
• Civil engineering background, ideally within utilities or water infrastructure.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
