  • Maple Grove Dedicated memory care services providing a safe, nurturing environment for residents living with dementia and memory loss.
  • Evergreen Comprehensive short-term rehabilitation services supporting recovery following surgery, injury, or hospitalization.
  • Spruce Common Long-term custodial care for residents with physical needs requiring ongoing support and compassionate care.

The Skilled Nursing Center Site Administrator (SA) is responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that delivers high-quality clinical care in a homelike setting while ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and all applicable federal and state regulations governing long-term care facilities.

The Site Administrator serves as a champion for long-term and post-acute care services, combining operational expertise with compassion in service to residents, families, and staff. This leader is accountable for fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, collaboration, and resident-centered care.

As a key contributor to UVM Health Network Continuing Care's strategic priorities, the Site Administrator will help advance access, affordability, and quality while supporting the continuous improvement and evolution of post-acute and long-term care services in response to changing community needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall operational, clinical, financial, and strategic leadership for the center.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and organizational regulations, policies, and standards.
  • Foster a culture focused on resident-centered care, quality outcomes, safety, and service excellence.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop interdisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Partner with residents, families, community stakeholders, and healthcare providers to enhance the resident experience.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve quality, efficiency, and satisfaction.
  • Oversee financial stewardship, budgeting, census development, and operational performance.
  • Support the growth and advancement of long-term care and post-acute services across the region.

Qualifications

Education, Licensure, and Certification

Required:

  • Vermont and/or New York Nursing Home Administrator License.
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field.

Experience, Skills, and Attributes

Required:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive management experience with increasing leadership responsibilities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Management experience in at least one of the following settings:
    • Skilled Nursing Center
    • Residential Care Facility
    • Assisted Living Community
