Rate of pay - Min $55,700 to max of $69,600 per year.

Summary

Responsible for the accurate and timely performance of various assigned functions in support of the Property and Corporate Accounting Partners. Functions include but are not limited to reviewing and processing invoices for payment, daily cash deposits, daily income audit and completion of Income Journal, review of financial statements, forecast, budget, assisting on various special projects as needed, and performing other miscellaneous clerical and accounting-related tasks. May also be involved in special projects, ad-hoc reporting and other requests.

Essential Job Functions

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Review, code & process invoices (or supervise AP Clerk if applicable) and reconcile against checkbook. (20%)
• Perform daily income audit and complete the Income Journal. (20%)
• Provide reclass and accruals to Corporate Accounting Partner for month end process (20%)

• Research and respond to credit card chargebacks (5% time)

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

a) Education

· High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred)

b) Training requirements

· N/A

c) Knowledge and skills

· Effective written & verbal communication skills

· Ability to work with customers at all levels

· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

· Ability to identify and raise relevant issues to accounting management

· Ability to meet deadlines consistently

· Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to change

d) Technical Skills

· Excel knowledge.

e) Job experience

· Hospitality experience

· Ability to work overtime to assist in financial reporting department deadlines.

Unless there is a legal requirement, experience will be accepted for the education requirement.

· Minimal decision making. This position spends 50% of time or more on production work.

· This position must review procedure change recommendations with department head or corporate accounting.

· Generally, does not have direct supervisory reports.

e) Scope/Financial Responsibility

· Partner with Corporate Accountant during month end close.

Organizational Relationships

The position will interact with various contacts within the Company. This position will work with contacts at different levels of management on an ongoing basis. These interactions may include contact with senior management on a periodic basis.

Work Environment

Office environment with high utilization of phone, computer, copy machine, scanner, fax and handling of paperwork.
