As Simulator Pilot, you will act as a pseudo pilot to our Air Traffic Controller (ATCO) students in training. The role is performed at a desktop computer station rather than in a cockpit-style flight simulator. You will use a simulated radar display to manage multiple aircraft simultaneously, following the clearances and instructions given by the ATCO students.
We provide facilities to ATCOs on behalf of our clients and deliver training to practice their skills in a range of different areas such as separation methods, training for new units, practicing responses to emergency situation and much more. You will for example:
You will be given full training to provide the necessary skills for the job. The 2-4 week training period will start on 1 December and you need to be available for the full training period.
This is a full-time, fixed-term contract for a period of 6 months extended as required. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. Shift work can be expected.
Employment will be subject to successfully passing the training period as well as Garda Vetting procedures.
