Job Description
Coordinates the planning, maintaining, and implementing classroom and simulation technology in accordance with established standards of the School of Nursing. Responsible for recommending new procedures for simulation/classroom technology and functionality, developing programs for training faculty and staff, ensuring timely implementation of technology tools and resources, and facilitating developmental opportunities for end users. Oversees the delivery of supplemental equipment in support of events both on and off campus. Responsible for continual review and improvement of system operations practice within the classroom environment. Provides supervision on projects and simulations conducted in the CSI. Works closely with others within Information Management Services (IMS) and appropriate external vendors to ensure efficient functionality of resources. Answer student and faculty questions, assist students and faculty with simulation work and assist faculty in preparation for nursing skills lab and simulation experiences.
- Supervises and provides technical assistance with simulation and medical-related audio-video systems.
- Provide technical assistance, support and training to faculty, instructors and staff in use of simulation and medical equipment, as necessary.
- Conduct ongoing maintenance of all medical and simulation equipment, including cleaning, repairing, assuring that all equipment is maintained in good working order at all times.
- Proved support in the set-up and take-down simulators, medical equipment, and supplies for simulations and skills labs conducted. May participate in teaching-related activities and development.
- Supervises the inventory of supplies and equipment and responsible inventory updates.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the facility and equipment and assists users of the facility during training sessions.
- Responsible for continual review and improvement on simulation and skills lab operations
- Works closely with CSI managers and Director in the purchase of simulators and lab equipment and recommending new procedures for classroom/simulation technology.
- Responsible for proactive review of systems performance.
- Provides immediate response to problems and emergency situations affecting normal operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of patient simulation services, technologies, and applications.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Education
Maters degree required preferably in health-related field, science, or education.
