Horse Technologies is part of Horse Powertrain Limited – an independent new powertrain solutions business, with over 125 years of heritage from Renault and Geely. We develop and produce world-class hybrid and combustion engines and transmissions to move our industry forward, offering many different paths to net zero.
This role is employed by Horse Technologies Division and is based in Valladolid, with occasional travel possible to Horse Powertrain’s other sites.

What you will do
Model mechanical phenomena and their interaction with thermal and electrical systems in hybrid powertrains.
Develop realistic virtual twins using experimental correlation and AI techniques.
Support validation planning and collaborate with project teams to define simulation requirements.
Gather and assess technical inputs including CAD models, material data and operating conditions.
Select and apply the most suitable simulation tools and methodologies for each engineering challenge.
Execute, validate and calibrate simulation models using experimental results.
Analyze simulation outputs, prepare technical reports and contribute to knowledge capitalization.
Develop innovative AI-enhanced simulation methodologies to improve engineering performance and efficiency.
What we’re looking for
A proven track record in numerical simulation and virtual model correlation; experience with tools such as Abaqus, AVL Excite, Ansa or SimSolid will be highly valued. Solid knowledge of mechanics and thermal engineering, including thermomechanics, fatigue, NVH, dynamics and materials engineering.
A Degree in Engineering or Physics; a specialization in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering or Numerical Simulation is preferred.
Excellent skills in mechanical and thermal engineering, as well as simulation result analysis and data processing. Knowledge of electric motors and battery systems, combined with a strong willingness to learn, innovate and develop AI-based engineering solutions.
Strong competencies in cross-functional project coordination and technical communication, with a collaborative approach.
Knowledge of the automotive sector, Horse Powertrain business, and our ambition to transform the industry.
Excellent command of English and Spanish, both spoken and written; knowledge of French will be valued.
