You’ll make an impact by

  • From digital twin to adaptive factory: Together with experts from Production, IT, Engineering and Data Analytics, you create the foundation for a self-optimizing factory. You connect real production data with virtual models and enable closed-loop optimization.
  • Drive innovation for electronics manufacturing: You identify new technologies, methods and tools in the field of simulation and digital twin and assess their value for our electronics factory. In doing so, you bring the latest developments from industry and research directly into practice.
  • Impact beyond the factory: Your solutions serve as a reference for other Siemens locations worldwide. Successful approaches are transferred into the global production network and influence the further development of the Siemens Digital Enterprise Portfolio.
  • Visibility for your innovations: You present results to management, customers and international visitor groups. In doing so, you demonstrate practical innovations that actively shape the path toward the AAA+ Factory – Autonomous, Adaptable & AI-powered.

You excel in

  • Education
    • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a comparable field.
  • Experience & Skills
    • Several years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, with a solid understanding of the relationships between production processes, material flows, and factory performance.
    • Practical experience in discrete-event simulation as well as in developing and applying digital twin solutions for production equipment, manufacturing lines, or factory systems.
    • Proficiency in simulation tools from the Siemens Digital Enterprise portfolio, such as Tecnomatix Plant Simulation, Simcenter, or comparable solutions.
    • Experience using production data to validate models, identify optimization potential, and derive reliable, data-driven decisions.
    • Practical experience in data processing and analysis using Python, SQL, or comparable technologies.
    • Familiarity with manufacturing IT systems and the integration of shopfloor data through platforms and technologies such as MES, ERP, OPC UA, or IoT platforms.
    • Knowledge of electronics manufacturing, AI-supported optimization, virtual commissioning, or cloud-based digital twin solutions is an advantage and will help you successfully bring innovations into practice.

    • You think systemically, recognize interdependencies beyond individual machines, and take a holistic view of production systems.
    • You take ownership of your topics, work independently, and consistently drive new ideas through to implementation.
    • You can communicate complex technical concepts clearly and enjoy collaborating with colleagues from Production, IT, Engineering, and Data Analytics.
    • You are enthusiastic about new technologies and actively support the digital transformation of manufacturing.
  • Languages
    • Business-fluent German and good English language skills.
