The Centre for Innovation in Medical Education (CIME) is a state-of-the-art healthcare simulation facility dedicated to transforming healthcare training through simulation-based learning. Located in Karachi, Nairobi, Kampala, and Dar es Salaam, our simulation labs provide immersive, hands-on learning experiences for medical, nursing, and allied health students and professionals. From patient simulators and task trainers to VR-based training and 3D printing, our facilities bridge the gap between theory and practice, enhancing clinical skills and patient safety. ​​​

Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Analyst (Business Development) in the Centre for Innovation in Medical Education, Karachi, Pakistan.

This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about strategic partnerships, client engagement, program promotion, and identifying new business opportunities in healthcare education and professional training.

Responsibilities

Specifically, you will be responsible to:

  • Lead business development and revenue generation initiatives for the Centre.

  • Develop strategic partnerships with healthcare industry and corporate partners.

  • Identify and secure sponsorships, collaborations, and business opportunities to support the Centre’s financial sustainability.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and industry leaders.

  • Promote and expand simulation-based education programs, workshops, and customized training solutions.

  • Plan, manage, and execute events including conferences, workshops, industry engagements, and partner meetings to maximize impact and revenue opportunities.

  • Develop business proposals, partnership models, sponsorship packages, and strategic growth plans.

  • Explore innovative income-generating opportunities aligned with the Centre’s mission and strategic priorities.

  • Develop and maintain structured data management systems to track partnerships, revenue pipelines, engagement metrics, and business performance.

  • Create and present data visualizations and dashboards to support strategic decision-making and reporting to leadership.

  • Ensure timely reporting of KPIs related to business development, industry engagement, and revenue generation.

  • Conduct market research and identify emerging trends, partnership opportunities, and new business avenues.

  • Work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve organizational growth objectives.

Requirements:

You should have:

  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, healthcare management, pharmacy, or a related field.

  • A minimum of three to five years of relevant experience in business development, sales, marketing.

  • Strong professional network within the healthcare industry will be considered an advantage

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Strong organizational and presentation abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
