Main purpose of the role:
The project this individual will support is expected to have a broad impact on the Equities business across Asia ex-Japan, spanning areas such as cash equities execution, stock borrowing and funding transactions, as well as principal and hedging activities.
While the primary focus will be this global project, the successful candidate may also be required to provide backfill support for certain BAU activities as needed.
The role will involve assisting with the re-papering of documentation (including pledge GMSLAs and stock borrowing agreements), conducting due diligence on these products, and, where required, supporting OTC equity derivatives transactions.
Person specification:
Qualified lawyer with minimum 4-5 years PQE.
Prior experience in stock borrowing transactions, including GMSLAs, pledge GMSLAs, and tripartite agreements, as well as exposure to OTC equity derivatives transactions
Experience working on projects involving entity restructuring would be advantageous.
Strong English communication skills are required; proficiency in Chinese would be a plus
