Job Description

Summary: This position exists to assist in the planning for show mounting. Performance of daily technical duties associated with live sound/lighting of shows is also required.

This position starts now and ends 1/2/2027.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Setting up acts on stage in preparation for performances.
• Performing quick and efficient changeovers between acts in a fast-paced environment.
• Setting up and adjusting lighting to meet production requirements.
• Mixing sound and ensuring optimal audio quality during performances.
• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting sound systems.
• Conducting routine maintenance and checks on lighting and sound systems to ensure functionality.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Responding promptly to customer needs.
• Speaking clearly and persuasively in a variety of situations.
• Treating people with respect and upholding organizational values.
• Following policies and procedures.
• Adhering to instructions and taking responsibility for actions.
• Displaying original thinking and creativity.
• Observing safety and security procedures and promptly reporting unsafe conditions.

Required Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Capability to write simple correspondence.
• Effectiveness in presenting information one-on-one and in small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees.

Required Experience

• Previous experience in theme parks, theaters, or amateur productions is preferred.
• Experience should include live lighting, sound management, or working in band performance settings.
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with various types of equipment and methods for live lighting and/or sound reinforcement.
• Strong reading and writing skills are required.

Physical Requirements:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 45 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. with assistance.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); work in high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
