Siemens Mobility Thailand is looking for a Signalling Principles Test Engineer for our team in Bangkok.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Testing Leadership: Take end-to-end accountability for Principles testing of new and altered signalling systems, ensuring all commissioning activities meet rigorous safety, performance, and contract specifications.
  • Technical Verification & Compliance: Lead the verification of signalling data and design from first principles, ensuring absolute alignment with international signalling standards and project-specific requirements.
  • Resource & Project Management: Identify and steer testing resource requirements, maintaining detailed forecasts of timescales and costs to ensure project delivery remains within tendered parameters.
  • Stakeholder & Bid Management: Represent Siemens in high-level client and contract meetings, providing expert technical input for scheme developments, implementation strategies, and the accuracy of project bids.
  • Quality Assurance & Documentation: Oversee the production of testing standards and specifications, including the completion and auditing of all testing documentation and Commissioning Management plans.
  • Operational Execution: Perform site-based correspondence testing and interlocking verification, acting as the Tester in Charge when required, while maintaining all necessary licenses and accreditations.

Use your skills to move the world forward

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline; however, significant equivalent experience in high-level signalling projects may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Substantial experience in railway signalling principles, with a focus on testing complex, computer-based interlockings, conventional free-wired, and/or geographic interlockings.
  • Must hold a valid IRSE Principles Tester License (or demonstrate the clear ability to achieve one immediately).
  • Proven ability to coach and develop subordinate staff, while contributing strategically to the leadership team to drive the future direction of the LCE testing group.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure during intense commissioning periods, with the flexibility to work on-site or at remote project locations as required.
  • Excellent command of the English language combined with strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in modern productivity and IT tools.
