Job Family Definition:
Designs, analyzes, develops, modifies and evaluates electrical/electronic parts, components, sub-systems, algorithms, or integrated circuitry for electrical/electronic equipment and other hardware systems. Conducts feasibility studies, design margin and validation analyses and empirical testing on new and modified designs. Assists in architecture development and assessment. Evaluates reliability of materials, properties, designs, and techniques used in production. May direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication.
Management Level Definition:
Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary. Might act as project lead and provide assistance to lower level professionals. Exercises independent judgment and consults with others to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

T ake ownership on all aspects of sign al integrity design, r anging from design fe asibility to product v alid ation
Develop SI rules, build on design guides & checklists, review design implement ation, cre ate test pl ans, document ch ar acteriz ation & me asurement reports
Improve & optimize design m argins through interconnect, timing & xt alk an alysis, 3D EM & ch annel simul ations for high speed designs
Underst and SI tr ade offs, imp act of v arious aspects of system design, provide timely technic al assessments & progress upd ates to SI mgmt
Design & ch ar acterize test structures & ch annel models to correl ate simul ations & me asurements for serdes & interconnects
Coll abor ate with cross-function al te ams such as HW designers, l ayout engrs, SW engrs, MFG engrs, ASIc engrs, ODMs & vendors.
Should be flexible to accommod ate ch anging design requirements, c ap able to simult aneously work on multiple progr ams & assignments

What You Need To Bring:
B achelor's / M aster's degree in Electronics / Electric al engineering or equiv alent

Knowledge of Electrom agnetics & Tr ansmission line concepts, reflection & termin ations, timing & jitter, crosst alk & noise, ch annel modeling & serdes equ aliz ations, PDN & decoupling
F amili arity with PCB st ackup design, best pr actices, tr ade-offs in line geometries, pcb m ateri als & surf ace finishes, vendor c ap abilities & Mfg process.
Experience with l ab equipments such as high b andwidth re al time & s ampling Oscilloscopes, ph ase noise an alyzers, TDR, VN A, spectrum an alyzers.
Proficient with simul ation and an alysis tools like ADS, HFSS, HSPICE, Sisoft QSI, QCD, C adence Allegro, Sigrity, PowerSI, M ATL AB, etc
Experience with common SI simul ation models such as IBIS, IBIS- AMI, S-p ar ameter, COM an alysis, etc
Knowledge of interf ace st and ards such as DDR 3/4, PCIe gen 2/3, 10GKR, S AT A, XFI, X AUI, C AUI, CD AUI etc
Experience with 56G P AM4, 25G & 10G NRZ serdes technologies - simul ation, bringup, debug, me asurements, optimiz ation a plus.
