About the Team:

Our Yandina Trackside Systems Team have a current vacancy for a permanent Signal Electrician to join their team inYandina.

In this role you will carry out the installation, maintenance and repair of all signalling equipment and report on the performance and condition of the signalling asset to ensure it's safe and effective operation in the SEQ region.

Work a rolling roster, Monday to Friday Day Shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm | 0930 –1800pm Penalties rates applyThis roster can change with business requirements. On Call for a one in 4-week roster

Salary Pay scale ET2.1 – ET3.2, Base salary from $87,949 - $109,320 + a regional payment of $7525 per year. Actual earning range with penalties, allowances and overtime is approx. $120,000 - $180,000.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Install, maintain and repair signalling equipment including telemetry equipment in accordance with predefined work programs.
  • Repair and adjust mechanical signalling equipment as required.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) requirements and legislative policies including work activities performed by subordinate employees.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with technical and operational specification and standards including work activities performed by subordinate employees.

We are seeking interest from applicants with the following:

  • Cert IV Electrical Railway Signalling, desirable but not mandatory to hold (internal training supplied for successful candidates)
  • Queensland Electrical Mechanic Licence and a Drivers Licence

In addition to the above requirements, you will possess:

  • Organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • A willingness to travel as required
