Production & Installation Specialist

FASTSIGNS of Bend, Oregon

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | $20–$23/hour to start


FASTSIGNS of Bend is looking for a hands-on, reliable, computer-savvy person to join our production and installation team.

You do not need sign industry experience. We can teach you how to make and install signs. What we do need is someone who is smart, dependable, good with technology, comfortable working with tools, and willing to do physical work.

This is a great fit for someone who likes variety and does not want to sit at a desk all day. Some days you will be in the shop helping produce signs, graphics, decals, banners, displays, and vehicle graphics. Other days you will be out in the field helping install signs, make deliveries, take measurements, dig holes, climb ladders, and solve real-world problems.

If you like working with your hands, using technology, learning new skills, and seeing your work out in the community, this could be a great opportunity.

What You’ll Do

This role is roughly a 50/50 split between shop production and field installation

In the shop, you may help with:

• Running or learning large-format printers and production equipment
• Preparing graphics, signs, banners, decals, and displays
• Cutting, trimming, laminating, mounting, and finishing sign projects
• Working with materials like vinyl, plastics, metal, wood, and printed graphics
• Reading work orders and making sure details are correct
• Helping keep the production area clean, organized, and efficient

In the field, you may help with:

• Installing signs, graphics, decals, displays, and other visual products
• Making deliveries to customers
• Taking measurements and checking job sites
• Using ladders and basic tools
• Digging holes and helping with post-and-panel sign installations
• Working safely and professionally at customer locations

You’ll work alongside an experienced production and installation team member and receive hands-on training.

• Comfortable using computers, a mouse, and basic software
• Good with details and measurements
• Willing to learn new equipment and processes
• Mechanically inclined or comfortable working with tools
• Able to take feedback and follow instructions
• Positive, professional, and easy to work with
• Comfortable switching between different types of tasks
• Customer-friendly when out on deliveries or installations
• Interested in learning a practical, creative trade

Physical Requirements

This is an active job. You should be comfortable with:

• Lifting at least 50 lbs.
• Carrying materials and tools
• Climbing ladders
• Digging
• Working on your feet
• Using a measuring tape accurately
• Working both indoors and outdoors

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Good driving record
• Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday
• Comfort with both hands-on work and computer-based tasks
