Minimum Qualifications
1. Must possess a current certification by the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc., Level III or above by the National Association of the Deaf (NAD), and/or 4.0 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) OR
2. Eligible to qualify for a 5-year Provisional Licensure through the New Mexico Sign Language Interpreting Practice Board. (Provisional licensed interpreters should have already completed or have proof of plans to complete the EIPA Pre-Hire screening)
3. Valid New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) License
4. Provide accurate sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpretation/transliteration.
