The Opportunity:

As a Siemens Polarion Developer, you will develop, configure, and customize solutions within the Siemens Polarion ALM platform, with a primary focus on requirements management, engineering traceability, baselines, change control, and verification support for HVDC projects. You will work closely with engineering, quality, and IT teams to ensure Polarion supports structured requirements lifecycle management, compliance, and collaboration across complex HVDC systems.

How You Will Make an Impact :

  • Develop and customize Siemens Polarion ALM solutions to support requirements management and engineering traceability for HVDC projects.

  • Configure workflows, document structures, forms, fields, baselines, approvals, and user roles within Polarion.

  • Develop custom Polarion functionalities including workflow automations, trigger scripts, macros, and custom LiveReports.

  • Design and maintain dashboards and in LiveReports using Velocity and JavaScript

  • Implement and maintain integrations between Polarion and other enterprise engineering tools using REST APIs, SDKs, and OSLC standards.

  • Support requirements lifecycle management, including requirement creation, review, approval, baselining, change control, and traceability.

  • Enable engineering teams to link requirements with verification evidence, test cases, defects, and change requests.

  • Support the business of test cases by enabling teams to create, manage, and link test cases to requirements, and support visibility of testing progress and results.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve Polarion configuration and performance issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing fixes.

  • Support Polarion system administration, upgrades, and maintenance activities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate HVDC engineering and business needs into scalable Polarion solutions.

  • Ensure adherence to ALM best practices, data integrity, compliance needs, and end-to-end traceability requirements.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guideline.

Your Background:

  • B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Automation, or related Engineering discipline.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Siemens Polarion ALM as a developer and configurator, preferably with focus on requirements management and traceability.

  • Good understanding of requirements lifecycle management, including authoring, review, approval, baselines, change control, and traceability.

  • Experience with Polarion workflow customization, scripting, macros, LiveReports, and Velocity.

  • Proficiency in Java and REST API-based integrations; familiarity with OSLC standards is a plus.

  • Awareness of OpenAPI/Swagger concepts and ability to work with Polarion REST API specifications and related tooling, such as Swagger UI.

  • Solid understanding of ALM concepts relevant to engineering environments, including requirements, baselines, test linkage, defects, change management, and compliance traceability.

  • Experience from complex engineering, energy, power systems, automation, or infrastructure environments is beneficial; HVDC domain knowledge is a strong advantage.

  • Experience integrating Polarion with other engineering, DevOps, or enterprise tools.

  • Familiarity with Polarion administration, system configuration, upgrades, and performance monitoring.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex ALM, requirements, and process issues.

  • Experience creating technical documentation and supporting or training end users.

  • Proficient in English; additional languages, such as Swedish or German, are a plus.

  • Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments and exposure to other ALM/PLM tools, such as Azure DevOps or Teamcenter.
