WHAT IS A SIDEKICK?
At Zoku, we call our hospitality all-rounders “Sidekicks”. You can think of this role as a Guest Experience Host someone who combines reception, restaurant, bar, and guest services into one dynamic hospitality role.
You’re the friendly face welcoming guests at check in, the person recommending your favorite local spots, the bartender making someone’s evening, and the host creating a warm atmosphere in our rooftop Living Kitchen restaurant.
WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO
Behind the bar. Pull espressos in the morning, pour craft beer in the afternoon, shake cocktails at night. We'll teach you the recipes, you bring the chat.
In the restaurant. Serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and bites in our Living Kitchen and on our rooftop terraces with great views over the city. Guide guests to the right wine, the right small plate, the right table.
At the front desk. Welcome arriving guests, handle check-ins & check-outs, and answer the inevitable "where's the best stroopwafel in Amsterdam?" with the kind of tips only a local would know.
YOUR SCHEDULE
You'll start in one department and grow into working independently across all of them. Because hospitality never stands still, flexibility is part of the role. You’ll work a mix of morning, mid, and evening shifts.
Morning Shift – 07:00 to 15:30
Mid Shift - 9:00 – 17:30 / 12.00-20.00
Evening Shift - 15:00 to 23:30
Times are indications. Both full time and part time opportunities are available.

A FEW MUST HAVES
You have worked in hospitality or a similar customer-facing industry before
You are fluent in English, any other languages are a big plus!
You are an EU resident or have a valid Dutch work- and residence permit.
You are fully flexible, enjoy variety and are open to work in shifts.

THE END OF THE HOTEL ROOM
Sleep, work, dine, repeat: all from your own private Zoku Loft.
Bye-bye traditional hotel rooms. We did 150 interviews with our target audience and made 6 different prototypes to create the award-winning Zoku Loft: a spacious micro apartment designed for living comfortably and working efficiently.
In a regular hotel room or studio apartment, the bed always dominates. In the Zoku Loft, the big kitchen table serves as a focal point, shifting the center of the space from the bed to the living room. Now you have a truly livable home to explore Paris and work abroad for as long as you want.

Say goodbye to boring conference rooms and dull events. Our rooftop meeting venue is designed to fuel connections, spark ideas, and drive productivity. All of our meeting rooms are flooded with natural light and have amazing views overlooking the city.
On top of this, our friendly team of Sidekicks is on hand to help with whatever you may need, whether that’s providing delicious food and drinks from our on-site restaurant or helping you book an overnight stay in a Loft.
