Meet, greet, and welcome customers of WVU Medicine while manning the shuttles. The shuttle drivers must have great customer service and driving skills when operating the shuttles.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Valid Driver’s License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Three (3) years driving experience driving a multiple passenger vehicle.

1. Prepares shuttle for the days run, checking fluid and operation of the shuttle prior to loading the first passenger of the day.
2. Follows all traffic laws, posted speed limits and signals.Cell phone usage only permitted when the shuttle is parked. If calls must be made to a control center/dispatch, it must be done with handsfree calling connected to the vehicle, per law and policy.
3. Report all accidents, incidents, or suspicious activity immediately to supervisor.
4. If problematic situations arise, you are to contact your supervisor immediately.
5. Follows the designated route and follow the guidelines when loading / unloading passengers. (i.e. 5 minutes, Full Shuttle or Another Shuttle Arrives)
6. Maintains inside and out of shuttle during non-peak hours by the individual drivers of the shuttle.
7. If the Shuttle develops mechanical issues, document the problem and notifies supervisor immediately.
8. Communicates with other drivers upon leaving or arriving at a destination via radio.
9. Updates documentation of passengers at all destinations.
10. Reports any vehicle assist with other motorist or employees to Security Dispatcher immediately.
11. Operates the wheelchair lift on handicap equipped Shuttles.

1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear in order to communicate with passengers regarding the Shuttle Services.
2. Continuous sitting, within the shuttles from parking lot areas is required in order to transport passengers to retrieve vehicles / arrive to destinations.
3. Evaluation by Occupational Medicine required upon hire or transfer to ensure medical fitness. Periodic evaluation after hire required. Any significant changes in health-status must be reported.
