Position: Shutdown Management Consultant (Expat)

Location: Kolwezi, DRC (Site-Based, Rotation)

Employment Type: Contract

We are recruiting an experienced Shutdown Management Consultant to support our client's regional asset reliability improvement program across mining operations.

About the Role

You will play a key role in establishing and embedding structured shutdown management practices, improving planning quality, execution discipline, and post-shutdown performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement structured shutdown planning, preparation, execution, and close-out processes
• Improve shutdown scheduling, coordination, and delivery outcomes
• Coach site teams on best practices and execution discipline
• Identify gaps and drive continuous improvement in shutdown performance
• Support the development of tools, routines, and governance structures

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in shutdown/turnaround management
• Strong background in mining, processing, or heavy industry
• Proven experience improving shutdown performance and planning systems
• Experience in coaching and implementing processes on-site
• Previous expat experience in Africa preferred
• Relevant engineering or technical qualification
