The Stetson-Hatcher School of Business at Mercer University isseekinga motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Assistant to support the Director of Operations and the Executive Assistant to the Dean. This position offers a unique opportunity for hands-on experience in the operational management of a leading academic institution. The Graduate Assistant willassistwith administrative tasks, event coordination, data management, and special projects aimed at improvingthe operationalefficiency and strategic initiatives within the School of Business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily administrative support to the Director of Operations and Executive Assistant to the Dean, including scheduling, communications, and general office management.

  • Assistwith planning, coordinating, and executing events, meetings, and workshops for the School of Business.

  • Support data collection, analysis, and reporting for strategic initiatives and operational processes.

  • Prepare documents, presentations, and reports for internal and external use.

  • Manage filing systems, databases, and correspondence tracking, ensuring smooth information flow.

  • Collaborate across departments toassistwith cross-functional projects and initiatives.

  • Manage special projects assigned by the Director of Operations and Executive Assistant to the Dean, contributing to continuous process improvement.

  • Serve as a point of contact for both internal and external communications, responding promptly and professionally.

  • Assistwithcreationand sustainment of student and faculty Mentor List.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program at Mercer University (preferably in Business, Management, or a related field).

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new software and tools quickly.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Prior administrative or operations experience is a plus but notrequired

Work Schedule:

  • 20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate the student’s academic schedule.

Compensation:

  • This position offers a stipend, tuitionassistance, or hourly wage, depending on the graduate assistantship arrangement at Mercer University.

Requirements: must be in the SHSB MBA in-person program. Potentially online.
