We pride ourselves on fostering an environment where we make a positive impact on others, upholding our beliefs in integrity, inclusion and belonging. What We Need: We are looking for a Showroom Associate to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team.  This Role will support the HON Flagship Showroom and the Allsteel Experience Center located in Fulton Market, Chicago, Illinois.  The Showroom Associate will promote company brands by developing and maintaining a functional showroom that delivers exceptional customer experience, dealer education, facilities management, marketing alignment, and drives successful sales engagements. This role is responsible for all showroom administration, ensuring operational efficiency and excellence through standardization, process improvement, and project management.  What You Will Do: 
  • Represent the strategic brand identity, welcome guests, curate an elevated brand experience, drive increased traffic, and elevate utilization of the facility. 
  • Support curation of client, dealer, and influencer experiences, including, but not limited to, brand activation moments, hospitality, and follow up communication. 
  • Maintain working relationships with sales team, local dealer sales representatives, and influencers. Manage onsite literature and product sample libraries and sample chair program for both brands. 
  • Ensure visit/event materials and content are aligned with specified brand.  
  • Seek continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures to make the space more functional for customers and sales members. 
  • Responsible for resetting showroom, restocking supplies, ensuring kitchen area well-kept, and assist is technology needs. 
  • Provide back-up support, if needed, regarding showroom calendar maintenance, facilitate schedules, and communicate with sales team to notify team of major events, product installations, etc. Maintain and communicate with a showroom dashboard that provides visibility to weekly events and showroom activity. 
  • Support the Chicago showroom experience visits and events, manage calendars, and arrange travel for a variety of members and customers across both brands.  
  • Coordinate with Chicago showroom team to organize facilities for visits/events, to curate visits experience activities accordingly, to manage catering, transportation, location, invitees, equipment, and promotional materials. 
  • Oversee and execute product installers and Field Service Engineers for product installations partnering with Design, Customer Support, Product Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing to actively manage location product quality. Manage punch lists to completion timely. 
  • Help coordinate on-site contractor needs and provide facility access accordingly. 
  • Apply proactive troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for any emerging issues before or during the visit/event.  
  • Manage the visits/ event budget to include tracking, processing of invoices, dispute resolution, and overall awareness.   
  • Gather feedback to evaluate the success of the event/visit and make appropriate recommendations for improvement as needed.  
  • Prepare insightful and accurate reporting and PowerPoint presentations to stakeholders. 
  • Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization. 
 What You Have: 
  • Bachelor’s degree Required.  Preferred degrees and/or areas of concentration include, but are not limited to, Architecture and Design, Interior Design, Digital Communications, or Marketing. 
  • A minimum of 1 year of hospitality or event management experience with a focus on customer experience/client relations, event planning, project management, showroom management, or facilities management preferred.
  • Previous experience with hospitality preferred.
