is looking for a person for position of:

Short Term Trader

location: Katowice

We are currently looking for an Short Term Trader to join the ST Trading, Market Access & Scheduling team The role focuses on electricity transactions on the market (TGE).

Main responsibilities:

  • Execution of electricity purchase/sale transactions on the DA market (TGE),
  • Manage and optimize the power portfolio in DA markets, including renewable integration, sales exposure, and asset flexibility
  • Develop and implement short-term trading strategies to optimize revenues and minimize costs,
  • Optimize the RES portfolio through active management of TSO balancing mechanisms (e.g. DUB-related services),
  • Manage risk within the trader mandate and ensure compliance, collaborating with cross-functional teams to maximize portfolio value
  • Prepare operational and commercial reports covering transactions, balancing results, and portfolio performance.

Candidate profile:

  • University degree, preferred fields: mathematics, technical, economics,
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a similar position,
  • Knowledge of electricity market mechanisms in Poland and Europe,
  • Commodity Exchange Broker License
  • Pragmatic, economic, and logical approach combined with problem-solving skills,
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals in the power markets,
  • Good knowledge of IT/IS applications and tools, especially practical ability to apply new IT solutions in trading,
  • Intermediate level of English.
