Are you passionate about engineering at an excellent mining facility? We are currently looking for an EIT to join our Albian Short Range Mine Engineering team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to display your proficiency by supporting the development, optimization, and execution of integrated mine plans. The successful candidate will collaborate with mine operations, mine maintenance, process engineering, and technical teams to implement mine execution strategies.

Shift schedule: 7x7, 12-hour shift
Key Accountabilities:
Develop and optimize daily and two‑week mine plans to guide ore production, waste mining, dyke and dump construction, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost‑effective operations
Design shovel mining surfaces and pit walls based on geological models to support optimal execution
Communicate mine plans and strategies to align operations, technical teams, and stakeholders
Provide project support including plans for haul roads, dewatering, and aggregate sourcing
Monitor mining activities, conduct field tours and daily meetings, and provide continuous feedback to ensure plan adherence
Collaborate with broad group of stakeholders across mine technical groups, plant production, maintenance, projects, regulatory and environment teams
Review and report on key mine performance metrics
What You Bring to the Role:
Degree in Mining Engineering
Registered, or eligible to register, with APEGA as a P. Eng
0-3 years of experience in open-pit mining, preferably in oil sands
Skilled in mine planning software (Vulcan, Deswik, CAD software)
Proficient in MS Excel and other office tools
Class 5 driver’s license with no known driving limitations
