Job Overview:
Level Up Talent Solutions is seeking a Shopify Developer with strong expertise in Shopify’s Liquid templating language to support the development, customization, and ongoing maintenance of existing Shopify stores. This role is focused on technical Shopify development, not basic store management. The ideal candidate will work directly within Shopify themes to build custom features, enhance functionality, and resolve complex front-end and theme-related issues. You will play a key role in improving site performance, user experience, and overall storefront functionality through scalable and maintainable code solutions.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using
  Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• 
  Build and modify custom sections, templates, and dynamic storefront features

• 
  Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve theme issues, UI bugs, and performance problems

• 
  Implement custom logic and workflows beyond standard Shopify capabilities

• 
  Work with Shopify theme architecture (sections, templates, and reusable components)

• 
  Optimize storefront performance, responsiveness, and user experience across devices

• 
  Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• 
  Ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability of Shopify implementations

Requirements

Requirements:

• 
  Proven experience as a Shopify Developer (not limited to store administration or merchandising)

• 
  Strong proficiency in
  Shopify Liquid (templating language)

• 
  Solid experience with
  HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• 
  Hands-on experience working directly within Shopify themes and codebases

• 
  Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities

• 
  Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality, production-ready output

• 
  Strong attention to detail and understanding of UI consistency

Nice to Have:

• 
  Experience with Shopify APIs and third-party app integrations

• 
  Familiarity with Shopify CLI or development tooling

• 
  Experience with custom app development or headless Shopify setups

• 
  Knowledge of Git or version control systems

• 
  Experience optimizing Shopify stores for speed, performance, and conversion (CRO)

• 
  Understanding of eCommerce UX and best practices
