What You’ll Do:
Executes training programs as set forth by the Regional and Corporate Training management team to guarantee safe, accurate, and timely preventative maintenance or repair of equipment in the shop.
· Responsible for all training of shop employees to maximize their efficiency, productivity, and development.
· Assists and trains Technicians in troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing tractors, trailers, and related mechanical components
· Serve as the primary trainer of shop employees; developing and executing custom training plans for each employee.
· Works closely with Shop Manager and Supervisors to ensure success of the training program while not disrupting ongoing maintenance operations.
· Executes new employee on-boarding process in coordination with Shop Management.
· Assists in the development and upkeep of corporate maintenance skillset training program.
· Assists with non-technical training such as leadership, conflict resolution, and other “soft skills”
· Coordinates with shop management in troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and maintaining equipment in the shop.
· Manages the shop preventative maintenance audit program
· Facilitates maintenance of company standards.
· Monitors repair order process for accuracy and completeness
· Facilitates a safe and efficient work environment
· Perform truck and/or trailer maintenance as required
· Performs other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
Education
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
Skills/Certifications
Supervisory Responsibility: None; provides input to Shop Supervisor and Shop Manager.
Physical Requirements: while performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; frequently stands, walks, uses hands to finger, handle or feel; and reaches with hands and arms.
