Job Description

As a Shop Technician operating out in our Raleigh, NC branch you would be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining forklifts and material handling equipment within the branch service shop. This role focuses on delivering high-quality repairs, rebuilds, and preventive maintenance in a controlled shop environment while supporting rental, used, and customer-owned equipment needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair forklifts and material handling equipment in the shop

• Perform planned maintenance, rebuilds, and safety inspections

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems

• Prepare rental and used equipment to company and safety standards

• Document repairs, parts usage, and labor accurately and on time

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience repairing forklifts or heavy equipment preferred
• Experience working with multiple brands of forklifts preferred
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environments
