Velocity Truck Rental & Leasing (VTRL) is looking for a Shop Foreman to join our team for following hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm!

Compensation:
• $64,000 - $75,000 per year (Depends on Experience and Qualifications)
• Full Time permanent position

What You’ll Do:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shop Foreman to oversee the daily operations of our automotive service shop. The Shop Foreman will be responsible for managing technicians, ensuring high-quality workmanship, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a leadership role within the automotive industry, strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Job Duties:
• Keep advisors informed of truck progress.
• Ensure quality control inspections are completed successfully.
• Make informed warranty decisions.
• Determine warranty coverage accurately.
• Minimize repair comebacks.
• Assist with complex repairs and seek support from district service managers as needed.
• Coordinate and assign daily workload for technicians.
• Dispatch work assignments daily.
• Support technicians in meeting productivity and efficiency goals.
• Implement disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Mentor team leaders to develop leadership skills.
• Conduct safety meetings and trainings to ensure compliance.
• Ensure the shop meets all local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Perform regular inspections to maintain shop safety and security.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the shop.

Job Qualifications & Requirements:
• Prior experience as a Shop Foreman in the trucking industry preferred.
• Previous management or supervisory experience required.
• Strong leadership abilities.
• Demonstrated technical expertise.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective collaboration with internal and external customers.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
