MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Shop Foreman to join our vehicle sustainment team in Constanta, Romania The selected candidate will provide maintenance support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversees all ground vehicle and equipment maintenance operations, scheduling, repairs, logistics and record-keeping using specialized systems.
  • Maintains oversight and compliance in accordance with regulatory regulations such as CFR, FIAR, OSHA, AFOSH, and other federal, country, state requirements.
  • Leads, manages and assigns work orders to as required to maintenance technicians.
  • Prepares work schedules to ensure efficient operations and maintains knowledge of processes and equipment provides timely and accurate reporting to program leadership.
  • Performs mechanical and electronic troubleshooting to diagnose, align, and repair failed and damaged systems.
  • Ensures employee compliance with safety regulations, policies, procedures, and training requirements.
  • Forecasts funding needs, evaluates requirements, and allocates resources effectively.
  • Ensures paperwork is completed and signed correctly.
  • Provides formal, over the shoulder, and on the spot training.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of qualified experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field (OR) 10+ years of experience.
    • A minimum of six years’ experience in maintenance operations, including performance of maintenance and repair of commercial or military equipment.
  • Up to 25% Travel Required.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with proven ability to lead, manage, and mentor teams to meet operational objectives and maintain high performance standards.
  • Experience in mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills to diagnose, align, and repair failed and damaged systems.
  • Experience in simultaneous maintenance, modification and repair projects on a variety of maintenance actions, tasks or repairs.
  • Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening; must possess a Valid Driver’s License for the location in which the work will be performed, a High School Diploma or GED, and a Passport valid for at least one year beyond the start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Army maintenance systems (GCSS-Army, SAMS-E or equivalent) for work orders, parts tracking, and reediness reporting.
  • 6+ Experience maintaining U.S. Army tactical wheeled vehicles, with advanced expertise on the PLS (M1074/M1075 with ECU) platforms
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and drivetrain systems specific to the HEMTT variants of vehicles.
  • Experience as a 91X, 91Z or 915A.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting this position.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and reach.
  • Must be able to work in high noise areas.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts.
  • Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
