We’re looking for a warm, reliable, and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join our community retail team. This role is more than retail — it’s about creating a welcoming space where every customer feels respected, supported, and valued, while helping our shop operate smoothly and sustainably.
As a Shop Assistant based in Cronulla, this role is casual part time hours and you’ll support the day-to-day running of our Op shops, work closely with staff and volunteers, and help deliver a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
Key Responsibilities
Provide friendly, respectful, and professional customer service to all customers and visitors
Assist with stock handling, pricing, visual merchandising, and maintaining store presentation
Support day-to-day shop operations including cash handling, cleanliness, and safe work practices
Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to create a positive team environment
Help ensure the shop is a welcoming and inclusive space for people from all backgrounds
About You
You enjoy working with people and have a genuine commitment to customer service
You’re reliable, organised, and willing to take initiative
Retail or hospitality experience is beneficial but not essential

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.
We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
