About Us

Shooting Stars is a school-based education engagement program for Aboriginal girls and young women delivered across more than 20 sites in Western Australia and South Australia. Shooting Stars is the primary initiative of Glass Jar Australia (GJA), a not-for-profit organisation under Netball WA.

Working in close partnership with schools and communities, we support participants to build confidence, strengthen cultural identity, develop leadership skills and stay connected to their education.

About the Role

As Partnerships Coordinator, you will support the development and management of our expanding network of supporters, stakeholders, and advocates. Reporting to the Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager, you will play a key role in:

  • Engaging partners and ensuring they are actively involved in the Shooting Stars program
  • Managing grants and acquittals, coordinating submissions, and ensuring compliance
  • Organising partnership meetings, events, and activations such as Careers Day, regional events, and corporate partner visits
  • Developing marketing and communications materials to engage existing and potential partners
  • Supporting fundraising initiatives and identifying new partnership opportunities
  • Building strong relationships with corporate partners and stakeholders

About You

  • We are looking for a passionate and motivated team player who:
  • Thrives on building relationships and engaging with stakeholders
  • Has experience in corporate partnerships, grant writing, and event coordination
  • Possesses strong project management and organisational skills
  • Is a confident communicator, both in writing and in person
  • Is innovative, proactive, and driven to make a positive impact

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in corporate partnerships, grant applications, and acquittals
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Preparedness for flexible work hours, including some weekend work
  • WA Driver’s Licence, Working with Children Check, and National Police Check

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in community fundraising, education, or sports
  • Understanding of Aboriginal communities and a commitment to Closing the Gap
  • Experience working with Aboriginal people and organisations

What We Offer:

The role is offered as a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week on a max term contract through to February 2027 with possibility of extension.
