Job Description

Hendrick MotorsportsLocation: 4400 Papa Joe Hendrick Blvd, Charlotte, North Carolina 28262

  • Dutiesinclude preparation and maintenance of shock components, as well as documenting shock combinations and set up.
  • Responsible for testing shock performance and forutilizingshockdynamometerto adjust shocks to match desired specifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following:

  • Builds shocks and stop bumps in an efficient manner under critical time constraints
  • Usesshockdynamometer to adjust shocks to match desired specifications
  • Utilizes database to record measurements and trackcomponentmileage for reference
  • Assists Crew Chief inidentifyingthe best shock and bump stop combination for testing andutilizationduring race events
  • Assistsin the management of parts inventory relating to shocks
  • Ability tooperateand interpret shock dyno graphs
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Physical Demands:

  • Requires vision (near, distance, color, peripheral, depth), sense of touch,and ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) –safety glasses.
  • Constantly manuallymanipulates, lifts/carries 10 pounds or less, and pushes/pulls 12 pounds or less.
  • Frequently stands, walks, reaches outward, bends, lifts/carries up to 20 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasionally sits, reaches above shoulder,squatsor kneels, lifts/carries up to 50 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 100 pounds.

EnvironmentDemands:

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment.
