Under general supervision, the Shipping / VAS Clerk will support both outbound shipping operations and Value-Added Services (VAS) activities within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is responsible for processing customer orders, preparing shipping documentation, coordinating carrier pickups, tracking shipments, and performing specialized product handling such as repacking, relabeling, kitting, palletizing, and other customer-specific requests.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a warehouse environment while balancing administrative and hands-on operational responsibilities. This position requires strong communication skills, urgency, accuracy, and the ability to multitask between warehouse operations, shipping coordination, and customer service support.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday (Weekends as needed)

Start Time: 5:00AM to 7:00 AM (subject to business needs)

End Time: 1:30PM-5:30PM (subject to business needs)

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Shipping Operations

  • Schedule daily carrier pickups using carrier portals, email, and phone communication.

· Prepare and process outbound shipment documentation (BOLs, packing lists, labels, ASN, and carrier paperwork).

  • Verify picked and packed orders for quantity, accuracy, and customer compliance.

· Confirm shipment details in the WMS/TMS and ensure timely order closure.

· Resolve shipping discrepancies, shortages, or damages before shipment.

· Stage and release loads according to shipping priorities and cutoff times.

  • Facilitate customer‑specific value‑added tasks such as:
    • Re‑labeling or relabel verification
    • Repackaging or pallet configuration changes
    • Shrink‑wrapping, banding, or special packaging requirements
  • Track shipments and research delivery status or shipment delays.
  • Communicate directly with carriers, warehouse associates, customer service, and accounting teams.
  • Maintain shipment documentation electronically and physically.
  • Update warehouse management systems and Excel tracking sheets accurately.

Value-Added Services (VAS)

  • Assemble products and promotional kits according to customer specifications.
  • Apply labels, stickers, inserts, and packaging requirements accurately.
  • Ensure all VAS work meets customer quality standards and company requirements.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy during VAS processing.
  • Assist with restocking and inventory movement as needed.
  • Support warehouse organization and cleanliness standards.

Warehouse Support

  • Pull, pack, and stage products for outbound shipment.
  • Transport products and pallets throughout warehouse areas safely.
  • Assist with loading and unloading shipments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
  • Follow warehouse safety guidelines and operational procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management or team leads.

Qualifications & Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience in shipping, transportation, warehousing, or logistics required.
  • Experience with Value-Added Services (VAS), kitting, labeling, or repacking preferred.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service mindset with problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and processes.
  • Forklift certification or experience is a plus.
  • Typing proficiency of 50+ WPM preferred.

Physical / Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, stoop, and lift for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly; heavier lifting may require assistance.
  • Comfortable working in warehouse conditions including heat, cold, dust, and noise.
  • Steel toe shoes required.
  • Ability to safely move pallets, boxes, and shipping materials throughout the warehouse.
