Job Description
Job Location: TX-LEGACY - Houston, TX 77066Management Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership and guidance to Shipping Receiving personnel
- Directs assigned tasks and provide assistance as needed
- Assist with Performance Evaluations on reports.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure all safety procedures/processes are always followed; All safety issues should be immediately reported to Plant Management.
- Read shipping notices, invoices, orders, and other documents to determine priorities and shipping methods that are needed to meet schedules.
- Notify management or contact external customers in the case of defects on materials for repairs
- Play a mediator’s role between shipping units and vendors/customers in the case of discrepancies in shipments, and reconcile with the appropriate bodies
- Inspect loading operations to make sure that they comply with shipping specifications
- Evaluate order/invoice accuracy
- Responsible for managing financial transactions related to shipping services; budget control
- Identify opportunities for enhancement and suggest ways of improvement to top management of the organization
- Direct the flow of items from preparation to shipment
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and company policies regarding shipments
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize processes, increase productivity, and control costs
- Train direct reports on any new policies or procedures
- Conduct Job Receipts in Syspro (not job closures)
- Movement of parts/assemblies from inspection required department(s)
- Performs other related duties as assigned
