What You'll Do:

  • Receiving & Inspection:
    • Validate all incoming shipments to ensure supplier paperwork matches physical items received and JR purchase orders.
    • Verify quantities received against purchase orders, packing lists, and supplier documentation.
    • Engage the Build Team and Engineering in quality control reviews of incoming shipments.
    • Perform material “check-in” processes to confirm delivery to the Build Team.
  • Logistics & Transportation Coordination:
    • Schedule and coordinate all LTL freight and small parcel pickups and deliveries (e.g., FedEx, UPS).
    • Adhere to all client shipping guidelines, routing requirements, and packaging standards.
    • Communicate shipment status, exceptions, delays, tracking details, insurance information, and claims in a timely manner.
    • Maintain strong relationships with carriers and logistics partners.
  • Inventory, Material Handling & Line-Side Support:
    • Deliver materials to job shelves throughout the facility to support line-side stocking programs.
    • Stage skids and bulk materials at designated plant locations based on point-of-use requirements.
    • Work with the Build Team to develop, organize, and maintain material storage areas throughout the facility.
    • Safely load and unload machinery and equipment from all truck and trailer types used by JR, customers, and suppliers.
  • Documentation, Systems & Compliance:
    • Ensure purchasing, receiving, and accounting documentation is accurately routed, filed, and maintained.
    • Resolve shipment discrepancies with the Purchasing team.
    • Process problem invoices through the Enlighten platform.
    • Initiate and manage the PRS process for returns, including logging and tracking root cause codes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Customer Support:
    • Coordinate with shipping and receiving team members and cross-functional partners to implement best practices and improve material flow.
    • Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including coworkers, management, suppliers, and vendors.
    • Serve as a key on-site support resource while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
  • Facilities & Fleet Support:
    • Track and manage fleet vehicle sign-out at assigned business unit locations.

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma, or equivalent certification.
  • 3+ years' experience in a business environment.
  • Logistics, Material Management, or Supply Chain experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proven ability to accept direction and complete tasks as assigned while working as part of a team or individually.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required.
  • Ability to obtain a Hi‐Lo (Forklift) and Overhead Crane license while employed at JR.
