Job Category: OPS - Production, Perma-Pipe in Lebanon, TN (USA) is looking for an Entry-Level Receiving Clerk

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Entry-Level Receiving Clerk to support our warehouse and receiving operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring incoming materials are accurately received, inspected, documented, and stored to support production and customer requirements.

Qualifications: Receiving & Inspection

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments from vendors, carriers, and delivery drivers.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and product descriptions against packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices.
• Identify and report damaged, missing, incorrect, or over-shipped materials to the appropriate team member.
• Ensure all received materials meet quality and documentation requirements before acceptance.

Inventory & System Updates

• Accurately enter receiving transactions into inventory, ERP, or warehouse management systems.
• Label and document incoming materials according to company procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and help resolve receiving discrepancies.
• Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, stock verification, and inventory audits.

Material Handling & Organization

• Move and store received materials in designated warehouse, staging, or production locations.
• Organize inventory to ensure easy identification, accessibility, and accuracy.
• Utilize pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment as authorized.
• Support material movement activities to maintain efficient workflow throughout the facility.

Cross-Functional Support

• Partner with purchasing, inventory, production, and shipping teams to ensure smooth material flow.
• Communicate receiving issues, shortages, damages, or delivery concerns in a timely manner.
• Support production and operational needs by ensuring materials are received and available when required.

Safety & Housekeeping

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving dock, warehouse, yard, and work areas.
• Follow all company safety procedures, material handling guidelines, and equipment operating requirements.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety policies.
• Assist in maintaining an organized work environment that promotes efficiency and workplace safety.

Qualifications

Background and Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Demonstrated Skills

• Strong communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to make effective decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions & Expectations

• Work may occur in an office or manufacturing environment.
• May require extended hours depending on project demands.
• Must be able to operate standard office equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.
