Job Description

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk coordinates inbound and outbound shipments while keeping accurate information flowing between the plant and other facilities.

Schedule: 11pm-7am M-F

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Responsible for scaling trucks in and out.
• Responsible for answering phone and taking messages as necessary.
• Responsible for assigning finished product to outbound shipments.
• Responsible for assigning lot numbers to inbound shipments.
• Responsible for keeping various logistics spreadsheets updated.
• Responsible for visitor sign-in sheet; monitors all traffic through office.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• One year of experience in shipping & receiving in a manufacturing/industrial environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior office experience; fax, copier, and printer.
• Must be able to type; proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Communicates clearly in verbal and written form.
• Highly organized; superior time management skills.
• Excellent math skills.
• Ability to multi-task.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, bend, and kneel.
• Frequently lifts up to 10 lbs.
• Long periods spent sitting at desk in front of computer screen.
• Regularly required reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out in an office environment.
