Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Shipping Technician II - 2nd Shift to join our team in Greenwood, SC!

This is a 2nd shift role with core hours from 3:30 pm - 11:30 pm, M-F.

The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour + $1 per hour shift premium. .
This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for executing all daily outbound and inbound logistics activities to support manufacturing operations. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant shipment processing, inventory transactions, documentation, and material handling while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and operational excellence.

In this function you will:
• Execute daily shipping and receiving activities in alignment with operational priorities and schedules.
• Monitor and prioritize hot shipments using PowerBI and ensure urgent orders are processed on time.
• Prepare, stage, load, and label outbound shipments according to the shipping plan.
• Create and maintain load sheets, shipment records, and documentation in AS400 and Vista.
• Schedule carrier pickups, coordinate loading times, and communicate with internal teams and carriers.
• Complete and verify all shipping documentation, including BOLs, packing lists, and shipping orders.
• Receive incoming materials, verify against purchase orders, update inventory records, and complete daily receiving close‑out.
• Conduct visual inspections to ensure material quality and identify nonconforming items.
• Identify shipping or inventory discrepancies, submit error reports through SharePoint, and follow up as needed.
• Maintain accurate system updates to support inventory control, traceability, and reporting.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack) and assist with crating, boxing, and packaging activities.
• Communicate daily pass‑down information across shifts to ensure continuity of operations.
• Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and support root cause analysis efforts.
• Comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements and sustain 5S+ standards.
• Safely lift, move, and transport materials using proper lifting techniques and assistive devices.
• Assist with general clerical duties, including data entry, administrative support, and customer service–related tasks.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Forklift or Pallet Jack Certification OR the ability to be trained upon hire.

Skills:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to push or pull up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and operate material handling equipment for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate enterprise systems (AS400, Vista, PowerBI preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and schedules.
