This 2nd shift Manager Production assignment is to support hourly personnel and business requirements in both the Warehouse and Shipping Operations at Kearny Mesa. The role includes but not limited to the effective support and leadership of approximately 25 hourly employees engaged in the processes of material receipt, put-away, picking and delivery of material to the PSO, TMP and Customer Services Organization, carrier/parcel pickups, weekday EOCP requests and material and finished goods shipments through collaboration with the logistics team. The position plays a pivotal role in the identification and removal of obstacle impeding the warehouse and shipping team’s ability to safely deliver/ship the right part, at the right time, in the right quantity to the right location.
The incumbent exercises strong decision-making skills in the allocation of resources, identification of shifting priorities, execution of urgent business needs, use of continuous improvement tools including Lean Thinking and 6 Sigma, and knowledge of collective bargaining agreement to achieve operational excellence.
