This role supports Gigamon’s shipping, receiving, inventory, and asset management operations. The position processes inbound and outbound shipments, maintains accurate records, and ensures equipment and materials are handled, documented, and delivered efficiently. Working closely with the Inventory and Asset Management teams, this role helps maintain operational accuracy and a high level of customer service. The position also contributes to process improvements, reporting, and the effective execution of established procedures. This will be a short-term (2-week) contract position.

What you’ll do:

  • Process, sort, stage, and distribute incoming packages and freight.
  • Promptly notify recipients when packages and other deliveries are received.
  • Receive, count, and verify incoming parcels, freight, equipment, letters, and packages; document damage and discrepancies.
  • Log incoming items, including certified, registered, return-receipt, Federal Express, UPS, and DHL shipments.
  • Prepare, package, and palletize outgoing materials to prevent damage during transit.
  • Prepare accurate domestic and international shipping documentation.
  • Operate mechanical equipment, including pallet jacks, carts, and hand trucks, as required.
  • Process and receive purchase order equipment shipments, verifying that the correct equipment has been delivered.
  • Apply asset tags to incoming equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Complete ERP transactions accurately and in accordance with defined processes.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures when performing shipping, receiving, inventory, and asset management activities.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports for equipment and shipments processed through the department.
  • Maintain monthly operational metrics and reports.
  • Evaluate operational processes and procedures and recommend strategies and implementation plans to improve efficiency and service delivery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ve done:

  • Gained a minimum of four years of experience in customer service, shipping and receiving, or a related operational environment.
  • Earned a high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Developed three to four years of experience using Microsoft software, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Used APEX, Oracle-SAP, or another inventory management or ERP system; experience with these systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and packaging shipments, including palletizing materials and preparing domestic and international shipping documentation.
  • Demonstrated the ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds consistently.

The base salary compensation range targeted for this role is expected to be between $72,000 - $83,000 (subject to terms and conditions of the plan). This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices.
