Eaton’s ES GDCO division is currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join the Worcester, MA team!

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour.

Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm

Position Overview

Operate necessary conveyors and/or forklift to unload completed product from final assembly lines to stage in shipping department. Transport materials within multiple work cells. Operate hand or fork trucks to move materials. Select carriers, schedule carriers, and expedite/de-expedite shipments. Work with government (MTMC) to arrange ocean shipping and complete all required documentation. Provide routine transportation/specialized service quotations to sales force. Create export documentation (commercial invoices, shippers export declaration, dock receipts etc.) as needed for each shipment. Inspect and transact incoming materials. Perform daily cycle count of inventory. Investigate root cause and report out on inventory discrepancies. Adheres to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions. Requires cross function collaboration to resolve internal issues, delivery issues and transportation information. Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S.

In this function you will:

  • Assist team in achieving plant and department goals.
  • Assist with on-the-job training and continuous improvement.
  • Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork.
  • Ensure compliance to Worcester Plant Quality standards and makes necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals.
  • Operate necessary conveyors and/or forklift to unload completed products into shipping department.
  • General knowledge of Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1 year warehouse or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Worcester, MA will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred:

  • Associate degree with an emphasis on Supply Chain Management.
  • 1 or more years' experience in logistics.
  • 1 or more years' experience working with Outlook, Lotus Notes, AS400 MRP, or Excel Pivot Tables.

  • Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; ability to integrate facts quickly and facilitate resolution.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively across all levels.
